We are pleased to be working with T2C Sports for tournament housing. None of our tournaments are Stay to Play but we have provided the following housing opportunities to assist you with your travel plans.

Each team that participates in an AAU sanctioned tournament is required to have all Staff and Players registered with the AAU.  Instructions on how to do so can be found here:

 

Club Memberships:
 
Here is the link for the Club to setup an account:  AAU Club Membership Setup
 
If your club already has an account - then its just a matter of players and coaches purchasing their memberships with your unique club code or selecting your club from the drop down menu during the process and then you doing an import into AES.  AAU Rosters can also be submitted.
 
 
Player and Staff Memberships:
 
Here is the link for the coaches and players to setup and purchase their memberships ($14) - make sure to provide them with your unique club code or they can select your club from the drop down menu during the process and affiliate themselves with your club.  AAU Staff and Player Memberships
 
Once your coaches and players have completed their memberships (for coaches it includes a background check), then you can do an AAU import in AES just like you did for USAV and then build your roster.
 
AES Roster Verification for Coaches only comes through the AAU import into AES.

Spectator Notes
Due to Building/Capacity restrictions, we are making the following requests:

  • Doors will not open to Spectators until 7:15am for the first Wave and 2:30pm for the 2nd Wave
  • If possible, please limit to 2 spectators per player, and try to leave children at home.
  • Spectator entry is $20/weekend, $15/day cash or credit at the door (no pre-orders)- No discounted entry for kids over 5 years old.  
  • All spectators will have temperatures taken at the door.
  • All Spectators must have a mask on at all times while inside.
  • All spectators are required to turn in a PAPER copy of the waiver below!
  • When your team is not playing, DO NOT HANG OUT AROUND THE COURT OR THE TRACK AROUND THE COURTS, you can go sit in the arena, or outside.  This helps us keep space for the parents that want to watch their kids play without having cramped space.
  • Please DO NOT come to your player's court until just before the match starts.  Easiest way to do this is to have players notify parents when warmups start, then have the parents come five minutes later.  We need everyone's cooperation in this matter in order to keep crowd/capacity's under control.
  • Parking for the PM wave will not open until 45 minutes before start time.  PLEASE allow the time necessary for the first wave to leave.

Coaches Check In:

  • Player Waivers:  All coaches must turn in waivers for each player on their roster, that waiver can be found HERE.
  • Teams will NOT be allowed to be checked in with ALL their waivers. They must be turned in together when coach checks in.  We are not accepting individual player waivers.
  • COACHES Check-in will ONLY be from 7:00-9:00am for the AM wave and 2:00-4:00pm for the PM wave - NO FRIDAY NIGHT CHECK IN.
  • Coaches will receive their entry bands - no more than 3 will be given to each team.  Coaches will NOT be allowed in without entry bands so please make sure you make arrangements before your match time.
  • While on court either playing or preparing to play, players are not required to wear masks.  Once off the court (or while officiating), players and coaches must have masks on.

Coaches Check In:

  • Player Waivers:  All coaches must turn in waivers for each player on their roster, that waiver will be posted HERE closer to the event.
  • Coaches will receive their entry bands - no more than 3 will be given to each team.

Spectator Entry Fee: We will update this information closer to the event. We ask that all Chaperones abide by the rules outlined below in the Venue information section and that everyone participating shows as much patience and grace as possible.  We have worked diligently with our venue to ensure that we are able to host this event for your players and we request that everyone do their part to ensure that we will be able to continue to provide playing opportunities for everyone! 

  • Every Spectator and coach is required to wear wristbands at all times as we are keeping close tabs on allowed numbers.
  • Doors will open at 7:30am on Saturday
  • MASK Policy will be updated as we get closer to the event.

Playing Site Information:

Here are the addresses and information for each playing site:

  1. Chairs will be provided – No Outside chairs will be allowed into the Whitehall facility.
  2. Please also remember to stay off of the work out equipment – no spectators are allowed in that area.
  3. Overflow restrooms will be utilized outside as needed.
  4. Warehouse temperatures can fluxuate so be prepared for cold or heat as outside temperatures can influence indoor conditions.
  5. No Pets allowed inside so please do not bring them.
  6. Concessions will be available at Whitehall Facility – NO Tables or Coolers allowed inside.at any location – Please be sure to pick up your trash both inside and out.
  7. Parking is Free at all locations – Do not park in non marked places as cars that block traffic will be towed.  At Whitehall – there are 5 Front row spots that are marked NO EVENT Parking – please respect the other business and do not park in those places.

  • In conjunction with Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 180, All Coaches, Chaperones, and Players are required to have a face covering on at all times.  Athletes that meet exceptions listed in Executive Order 169 and Executive Order 181 will not be required to wear a face covering.  If you claim an exemption - you will be asked to sign your name on a list for security purposes - No questions will be asked, but this is NOT optional.

Parking and Entry Information:  Parking and Entry maps are below.  Players and Coaches will enter at a different location than parents/chaperones.  Take a look at the maps and then look for signs once on Site.  In Concord, we suggest immediately parking at one of the many FREE parking decks, rather than trying to park directly on site.  DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET.  In Indian Trail, all parking is at the facility and adjacent road ways.  Only park in designated locations.

This is a USAV region sanctioned two-day event that will kick-off the Carolina Region season.  For Carolina Region teams this tournament counts toward the Carolina Region’s requirements in order to compete in the end of year championships or the Regional Qualifier.

ONSITE TOURNAMENT INFO:

If you are participating in a tournament at our facility – here is some helpful information – Click on the Tab for the tournament you are attending for Site Specific information for all satelite locations.

Location:

2530 Whitehall Park Dr., STE 450 Charlotte, NC 28273 – Located in the Whitehall Business Park off of 485 and Exit 1. Across from Ayersley Shopping Center, in the TYCO building that is located closest to the freeway.

No Pets:

NO Pets or animals (including emotional support animals) are allowed indoors unless they are Working Service Animals, Please be prepared to provide your service papers.

No Outside Chairs:

Seating is provided. Players are asked to not sit in the chairs – please leave those to spectators. When we run 5 courts – please be mindful that spectator seating is tight and we ask that you work with those who have players playing in a match. If your player is working a match or is off – please give up your seat for a spectator.

No Coolers:

You are welcome to bring in food but we ask that you keep it OFF the sport court area. PLEASE pickup after yourselves and your players.

Food tables:

Food Tables can be setup outside – NO CROCKPOTS or Electronic Heating devices allowed.

Vendors:

We are excited to have Cast Iron Waffles as our primary vendor. You can check them out HERE: There are also many food options nearby (Subway, Chick-Fil-A, Panera, etc)

Entry Fee:

Wristbands must be worn as no replacements will be allowed for lost wristbands.

Entry Fee varies from event to event. If it is a CUVC hosted event (AAU Grand Prix, Charlotte JVA Challenge), then please check our event link. If it is a non CUVC hosted event – such as an SAVL event – then please check their website for admission prices.

MISC TIDBITS:

  1. Overflow restrooms will be used as needed.  We will close the Men’s restroom periodically for Ladies use only – overflow restrooms are located outside.
  2. Warehouse temperatures fluxuate so be prepared for both hot and cold temperatures.  Our focus is the best playing environment for the players and low humidity.  Outside temperatures can also affect the indoor conditions.
